We're proud to present '#LastLonelyMenopause', a production from Lief directed by Shannon Murphy for TENA. This poignant campaign started with a beautiful brief from AMV BBDO’s creatives Augustine and Lauren, which we felt immediately connected to: "I was moved by what the aim of the work was, to change the culture around how we frame menopause. [Lief Founder/EP] Margo Mars and I like collaborating with different voices and approaches to create work that really speaks to the large consumer group that includes us - women".

The winner of Channel 4’s Diversity in Advertising Award, Shannon brought her tasteful eye and diverse background to the project. Described as a "beautiful coming-of-age story" by MUSEBYCLIO, and a "groundbreaking tale of menopausal moments" by SHOTS, the resulting campaign takes a raw, real, and unapologetic approach punctuated by some observational humour to help remove anxiety surrounding the ‘taboo’ topic which affects half of the world’s population.

"I am incredibly grateful to the openness of the women involved in this project and how their stories helped us shape an honest and emotional campaign" Shannon Murphy comments.

The spot which premiered on Channel 4 can be watched below, and as Shannon continues to dazzle advertising clients and agencies you can also watch her full reel here.
